Here are your options when planning a wedding ceremony in Mexico : You can be legally married at home, and have a purely symbolic ceremony here in Mexico , with an officiant of your choosing. You can have a legal civil ceremony in Mexico at the location of your choosing, officiated by a Justice of the Peace. All of the paperwork to apply for your marriage license will be arranged and organized by Sayulita Dream Weddings. You can have a Catholic ceremony in Sayulita's charming town church. You must have an accompanying civil ceremony – either in Mexico or at home – in order to legally change your marital status. |

What to expect from a Civil Ceremony... Your legal civil ceremony in Mexico will be conducted by a Justice of the Peace, and can take place at a location of your choosing. The Civil Judge will lead the ceremony, reading the official wedding speech in Spanish. Sayulita Dream Weddings will provide a spoken English translation of the speech for you and your guests. You will have the opportunity to incorporate your own vows into the ceremony if you choose to do so. During the ceremony, you and your witnesses will be asked to sign and thumb-print the marriage license. Following your legal marriage in Mexico, we at Sayulita Dream Weddings can assist you with obtaining additional certified copies of your marriage license (you will need these if you are planning a legal name change), as well as certified translations into the language of your choice. |
